Former Daily Show host Jon Stewart blasts Congress during highly emotional testimony in support of reauthorization of the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund.

During his nine-minute speech before a largely empty House Judiciary Committee, Stewart said, “There is not a person here — there is not an empty chair on that stage that didn’t tweet out, ‘never forget the heroes of 9/11; never forget their bravery; never forget what they did, what they gave to this country.” Stewart then pointed to the group of first responders sitting behind him and told the committee members, “Well, here they are.”
